The build
FirstDrive is two products in one: an app for learners looking for the right instructor, and an app instructors run their working week from — diary, lesson management and payments in one place instead of spread across separate tools. Both are built with React Native and Expo, and both are live on the App Store and Google Play.
A two-sided product only works when each side gets value on its own, so the instructor app stands up as a working diary and admin tool in its own right, with the marketplace matching built around it. Payments run through Stripe Connect: learners pay in the app, instructors are paid out, and the platform fee is handled inside the same flow.
A companion web presence, built with Next.js on Supabase, sits alongside the mobile apps.
